When your friend hands you an encyclopedia of feminist theology, this is what happens

This is blog written by a young Catholic woman who is a high school theology teacher in the Archdiocese of Detroit. In June of 2015, she completed her MA in Theology at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit graduating magna cum laude with a MA Thesis titled “Mary as Woman of the Eucharist According to Pope Saint John Paul II.” In addition to her graduate degree in theology, she also holds a BA in Theology (Theta Alpha Kappa-National Theology Honor Society) who is actively discerning what God wants her to do with her life no matter what vocation it may be.

This blog is meant to serve as a means for her to not just present the many thoughts that fly through her mind on a given day but also to give the reader a glimpse into the life of a woman who discerning how God wants her to put out into the depths (duc in altum).  This is also a place for her to post things that she find interesting in one way or another.

More facts about Allison: She loves everything about Catholicism from the smells and the bells to the Latin and the lace.  She reads Ratzinger for fun and enjoys making obscure references to archaic things such as obscure film and random trivia.  She is ardently pro-life (conception to natural death).  She believes everything the Holy Catholic Church teaches and affirms to be true since she [the Church] the is bride of Christ Who can neither deceive nor be deceived.  She is a devoted fan of the Detroit Red Wings (especially #30 Chris Osgood) and is a padawan tech geek.

Disclaimer: Allie has been known to be politically-incorrect in her speaking and writing manner (read: she is very honest about things and does not find it beneficent to any party to sugar coat things to make them more palatable).  She also tends to be more along the lines of traditional in her faith practices (though not a la 1962 exclusively) and yet she also has at times a rather dry and kinda irreverent sense of humor (without getting into sacrilege).  Most of these posts are written in a way that one is getting them as she thinks them with some mild tweeking for the sake of grammar, usage, flow, and cohesive-ness.

Comments are more than welcome, provided they are done with charity and respect for her, others, and the Church.  Catholic bashing is NEVER permitted on her watch.  Those who partake in it, consider yourselves duly warned.

OMG!! What on earth are those vestments His Grace the Archbishop is wearing! Worthy of being on http://badvestments.blogspot.com/

You seriously think those are bad? Really? Have you seen some of the stuff clerics wear? At least it is in liturgical colors and has the Archdiocesan crest on it. Archbishop Vigneron is legit. Very solid. Wonderful man of God and His Church.
